FrameAxis Sourcing Requirements by Project Application

FrameAxis Sourcing is an independent sourcing service. A panel built lookup often starts from a picture of a finished building. The buying task is to translate that picture into use, documents, delivery stages and site limits. This desk does not claim to be an authorized dealer and does not treat a reference photo as a specification.

Construction site office modules beside a crane path

Volumetric

More finish can leave the plant, so the route and the pick weight decide whether the method fits.

Panelized

Bundles pack tighter, while weather exposure and on-site joints become the buyer risk.

Foldable

Collapsed width helps transport. Opened joints, seals and the set-out on the pad still need a drawing.

Steel Systems

A rigid frame wants span, eave height and load criteria before enclosure panels are priced.

Uses and the facts they add

Site office cluster on a gravel pad

Site offices

Write headcount, shifts, restroom count and how long the units stay. Temporary power is not the same scope as a permanent service.

Relocatable classroom modules at a school edge

Classrooms

Record occupancy, accessibility route, acoustic expectation and the school calendar that limits delivery.

Clinical swing-space module with a covered entry

Swing space

Clinical or admin swing space needs plumbing points, medical-gas exclusions and a fire-resistance rating the authority will actually review.

Maintenance shop with an overhead door opening

Shops

Door size, crane or hoist reactions and bay spacing change the primary frame. They should not hide inside a wall-panel allowance.

Documents, stages and site constraints

Volumetric modules move more work off the pad, but a narrow gate can reject them. Panelized construction shifts labor to the site and needs a weather plan. A standard bay helps when the project fits published module dimensions. A custom clear span is the better question when the column grid or the snow load will not fit that bay. Shell scope leaves foundation and utilities with the buyer. A broader scope still needs exclusions written, or the totals are not comparable.

Intended use and occupancy

State what happens inside, how many people, and whether the stay is temporary. A guard booth, a classroom and a maintenance shop do not share one live load or one exit story.

Delivery stages

Separate design issue, fabrication release, ship date, set date and the day the buyer expects beneficial use. Ask which stage includes the crane lift plan and which stage still belongs to local trades.

Site constraints

Note gate width, overhead wires, soil the foundation designer must see, and the hour when trucks may enter. The transport envelope is a route fact, not a catalog adjective.

Papers to request

Ask for the code edition used, design load summary, foundation reactions, thermal transmittance or R-value, and any fire-resistance data for the quoted assembly. IAS AC472 or ISO 9001, if offered, must name the plant and the system, and still may not apply to this jurisdiction.

Modules arriving at a constrained urban pad

Turn the use into a quote request

Bring the application, the stage you need priced, and the site limits. FrameAxis Sourcing will ask factories for alternative quotations on that written basis.
