Sourcing process

FrameAxis Sourcing Scope and Document Review

FrameAxis Sourcing is an independent sourcing service that lines up alternative quotations. It does not claim to be an authorized dealer. The work on this page is to make every supplier price the same responsibility split before a buyer compares totals.

Two quotes that should not share one total

A shell number and a turnkey number answer different questions. Freight, tax, foundation, installation and design fees move between columns unless the request freezes them.

Checks each quotation has to survive

Matching factories means sending this frozen note to plants that build the requested family, then reading replies against the note. FrameAxis Sourcing does not rank those plants as premium or budget. That label, if the buyer adds one, is a preference inside the form and is not a verified score.

Questions buyers ask while the scope is still open

Which costs leave the building price?

Freight to the destination ZIP code, unloading, foundation design, anchor bolts, stairs, canopies, electrical and plumbing rough-in, HVAC, permits and sales tax. If a line is silent, mark it excluded rather than assuming it is free.

What does a supplier preference change?

A buyer may ask for a premium finish level, a mid-range repeatable unit, a budget-friendly shell, or say the level is undecided. The preference does not prove a factory has been audited.

Can two code paths share a price?

No. An IBC commercial enclosure, an IRC house, a state modular label and a HUD Code home are different review paths. The brief should name one path and leave the others out.

Where do drawings go?

There is no upload field on the form. After the text request is accepted, drawings can be exchanged with the person who replies. The form itself carries the written requirement.

Ask factories to price one scope

Use the contact page when the brief is ready. The product list remains the place to pick an inquiry option. Verification of price, schedule and paperwork stays with the buyer and the quoting plant.
